Informative, entertaining and inspiring: Our expert in the German periodontitis podcast
When one of the leading medical publishers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland launches a podcast whose aim is to generate more awareness of the connections between human and dental medicine, then there seems to be something to a holistic view of the body.
At hypo-A, we have always believed that health is not possible without the microbiome and that oral health does not end in the oral cavity. We were therefore delighted when we heard in the spring that the renowned publisher MedTrix the German Podcast Podcast „Medizin trifft Zahnmedizin“ has brought into beeing. Under the direction of Prof. Dr. med. dent. Dirk Ziebolz, M.Sc., senior physician at the University Hospital Leipzig, experts from human and dental medicine meet here regularly and talk about exciting topics such as the influence of nutrition, smoking or aging on oral health. And what happens when the disciplines meet and exchange both scientific news and practical findings? New, reliable knowledge is created.
Since we are very concerned about raising awareness about the holistic relationships in the area of periodontitis, we have offered to sponsor one episode - without having any influence on the content. We are very happy with the result:
In the German podcast episode published on 17.09.24 „Medizin trifft Zahnmedizin EXTRA: Warum uns Parodontitis krank machen kann“ Prof. Ziebolz will be in discussion with Dr. med. dent. Heinz-Peter Olbertz. The experts will discuss how periodontitis is linked to Alzheimer's, diabetes and other inflammatory diseases, why pathogenic bacteria cannot harm a healthy periodontium and which micronutrients can usefully complement periodontitis therapy..
We don't want to reveal any more at this point, because we think it's worth listening to! We recommend this friendly, informative and entertaining conversation to anyone who likes listening to podcasts and wants to learn more about the connections between lifestyle and (dental) health.
By the way: If you want to read a little before listening to the podcast, you can findt here is an informative German interview with Dr. Heinz-Peter-Olbertz, with whom we will certainly be holding exciting online seminars on oral health again next year.
